Results, exports and lifecycle

Understand feedback and preserve valuable responses.

Results

Open Results to see completed and started/incomplete counts, completion rate, trend, choice percentages, rating/number summaries, matrix and ranking results. Text answers are paginated. Results refresh periodically while the page is visible.

Export

CSV contains analytical Data. XLSX contains exactly Codebook, Data and Text Data. Data and Text Data use the same readable question headers and order; Data keeps coded/numeric values while Text Data shows readable answers. Free-text columns stay blank in Data and their actual answers appear only in Text Data.

response_order starts at 1 for the oldest completed submission, using submission time then an internal tie-breaker. The same order links the two response sheets. Internal response UUIDs stay unchanged but are not in normal exports. Duplicate column titles receive (2), (3), etc.; matrix headers combine the question title and row, and option/ranking headers combine the question and option.

Codebook maps each friendly column to its internal question/sub-item ID, codes and labels. Choice codes follow stored option order; multiple choice has one 0/1 column per option, matrix one coded column per row, and ranking one rank per option. Ratings and numbers remain numeric; missing answers are blank. Dates have documented formats. No arbitrary codes are assigned to free text. Respondent IP addresses are never included in creator exports.

End Survey and archive

End Survey stops new responses while preserving all responses and results. Archive removes surveys from the normal dashboard; use Archived to find them. Restore returns to draft if there are no responses, or Ended if responses exist. Edit Survey permits safe changes; publishing again must satisfy your current plan and date requirements.

Duplicate

Duplicate creates a new draft, new question identifiers and a new address. It copies privacy settings but no responses or invitations; opening/closing dates reset so you can choose a new schedule.

Still need help?

Use Help Center > Contact Support. Include the survey title or public address and the action that failed, but do not send sensitive respondent answers.
